Organisation

Team Structure As in all of WEC international the ultimate decision making body on the field is the field conference. Once a year all WEC Chad missionaries join together for several days of spiritual encouragement followed by days of praying, planning and decision making. All major decisions are made at this time.

The field conference elects for a three year term its field leader(s) from among the WEC Chad missionaries. Also elected are the members of the field committee. This committee is composed of the Field leader(s) and his or her deputy field leader(s), several permanent members elected for a three year term and several rotating one year members. This is the decision making body for the field during the year when conference is not in session and normally meets three to four times a year.
In Chad the larger WEC team is further divided into regional teams, each with a team leader also elected by field conference. At present WEC Chad has three teams, N’Djaména, Abéché (including Biltine), and Adré. The team leader is responsible for the local team’s pastoral care and direction even as the field leader has the overall shepherding responsibility for the wider team. Local teams meet together weekly for prayer, communication, and mutual encouragement.

WEC Chad’s Partners

We work with anyone who has a similar vision and burden to ourselves, both with local people and other international agencies. We have a formal collaboration with the EET (“Evangelical Church in Chad”) and the missions affilitiated to it.

The EET is a large church based in the South of the country whose members mostly come from outside of the Arabic speaking area.
