sparks-a-flyin.jpgThere are all sorts of fancy wheelchairs around these days, but most of them are designed for modern houses in modern cities. They just don’t build wheel chairs designed for the rough, tough, sandy conditions we find here, and if they do make them somewhere, it would cost the earth to get them out here and the maintenance would be a nightmare. So we picture-009-small.jpgare building wheelchairs fit for the conditions and easy to maintain. There are plenty of needy people, both local and among the refugees.

Neil is working with a small group of local men, training them in practical skill and discipling them as he goes.

This work is now expanding. The extent of need among the disabled is overwhelming. Many children are disabled by conditions that would have been preventable if they had been born elsewhere. There are also many people disabled through injuries from the Dar Fur crisis now living in the 13 camps on the Chadian side of the border. It would be great to have a physiotherapist working with us .
