Our Learning Centre (“Centre de Connaissance”, or CdC) in Abeche has a library for students, classrooms for teaching English to adults and soon be running IT courses. The Centre provides excellent opportunities for short term workers wanting to get a taste of life in Chad and the potential for future service.

When the centre first started, the aim was to help high school students. Since then the town has gained many more students through the opening of a university and other educational insitituions.  The library continues to attracty many young people. We also have new classrooms which we can use for a variety of subjects depending on who is available to teach. The centre gives us a space in which to develop new initiatives.

English language teachers are always needed.
