Joining us FAQs

How do I join you in Chad?

The first step is to contact us through the contact form provided.

If you definitely want to join us whether short term or long, you will need go through one of our local WEC offices.

Do I need qualifications?

That depends on what you hope to do, but the most important qualifications for serving God are spiritual.

What about language?

To relate to other team members you will need to speak English well. If you have French but not English that would be possible, but then you would not be reading this…

Our long term workers are required to learn French before they arrive – but they can come short term first and see why they will need it.

What about health?

Visitors to Chad can stay healthy if they are sensible. There are plenty of tropical diseases about and you will be advised about local hygiene issues. You will need to have some jabs. Malaria is a factor especially in the rainy season, June to September.

Is Chad safe?

Wrong question, after all is anywhere safe?? The political situation in Chad is always a little unpredictable, but if we are there, so can you be. So long as you take the specific advice we give you, you should be fine. The real question is this : Can you trust the Lord to keep you?

Can I be involved without coming to Chad?

Yes, of course, especially through prayer. Get in touch and we can let you know more.
